EQ Career
Opportunity
Many people want to work with us and often ask us how they can join the Equidigm team. This document is provided to introduce and clarify the expectations, processes, cost and commitment required to embark on this wonderful career opportunity. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are aligned with our mission of stimulating family wealth through awareness and intelligent solutions one home at a time.
Why do we need
you?
EQ is greatly in need of professionals to join our team of Advisors to help us build up the corporate infrastructure we have designed. In order to accomplish this task we need individuals who are committed to learning detailed product knowledge and becoming experts in the financial industry. We market products and policies from many top companies including but not limited to: Old Mutual, Fidelity and Guaranty, Americom, Allianz, Mass Mutual, Ohio National,
Washington Mutual Bank,
CountryWide, 1st Option Mortgage, Madison Life Insurance, AIG, ING, and others.
Our EQ process is to first help the homeowners’ understand their own needs and then to provide the proper financial products that help create an increase of wealth. This is a ground floor opportunity because we are currently in the early stages of our plan. It may be very similar to being a pioneer; you will know where to go and how to get there, but there are no paved roads to follow. Once we complete the infrastructure of the company it will become progressively easier for new agents to join in and get right to work. Those who join us now to help us build and train others will realize the greatest benefits.
We are looking for likeminded people to learn our philosophy and methods, then once you have mastered the process you may be eligible to move quickly up into higher end training and management positions within the company. As the company grows it will become increasingly more difficult to obtain these trainer/manager positions. **Note: To be eligible to become a certified Equidigm representative a resume and background check is required prior to submission of any paperwork. Equidigm does not guarantee and/or promise any performance or success and individual results may vary.
Why do you need
us?
The financial industry is very heavily regulated and quite complex. There is an enormously high turnover rate among loan originators and Life insurance agents from lack of adequate support. Qualified leads are not easy to come by and cold calling can get tiring. Equidigm is creating a support system for our agents that will handle the vast majority of paper work needed for the back end processing and tracking of leads and clients. EQ will also have a customized software designed to generate leads that are not just names and numbers but actually prospects for business. EQ is dedicated to streamlining the process of matching quality products to customer needs and supporting our agents with the proper tools and step-by-step training to maximize their success.
What is EQ's step-by-step training process?
To start earning a six figure income and begin working with our exciting Equidigm team, EQ needs you to meet the following requirements:
-
Step One – A Commitment to full integrity in working within compliance and assisting others first. Money is very important but comes second to helping the clients.
-
Step Two – Complete all EQ paperwork, i.e. resume, background investigation authorization and career application.
-
Step Three – Attend the 3 day EQ Boot Camp for basic training and receive Equidigm
Advisor Certification status.
The following Steps are for EQ Agents who want to become fully
licensed and earn commissions on all EQ financial products.
-
Step Four (Optional)
– Attend required insurance training classes and pass the State Insurance Exam (in your resident State) to obtain a Life Insurance License.
-
Step Five – Complete Annuities Certificate or equivalent as required and if applicable by State law (for example, 8-hour Continuing Education is required in CA).
-
Step Six – Once licensed, fill out the EQ applications to become ‘appointed’ by Insurance companies, through Equidigm.
-
Step Seven – Fill out application to obtain mandatory 1st year Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance coverage. (minimum $1,000,000 coverage).
-
Step Eight – Sign the loan Originator application and forms to represent our lenders. In some states (in Utah, for example) it may be necessary for you to receive a Broker certification or license also.
-
Step Nine – Once compliant, agents will be eligible for up to five (5) leads and begin on-the-job training with your assigned Trainer/Supervisor to complete and close 3 contracts to become an Active
Advisor.
-
Step Ten – Maintain active agent status, seek continuing education, and work to obtain ‘Producing
Advisor’ status by maintaining one closed contract per week.
*Note:* To obtain a State Insurance License and to be appointed with Equidigm, you must be legally compliant. If you have had any prior convictions, felony, misdemeanors, judgments, bankruptcy, and/or any offense that may preclude you from completing any of the steps mentioned above, please disclose it to the EQ compliance division so we can make sure that you properly document it. If you have additional questions relating to the foregoing please consult your legal and/or tax advisor.
Do I need a securities and/or real estate license to work with EQ?
Equidigm works with trusts, secure mortgage products, annuities and insurance policies that will not put our clients’ money at risk. We are not brokering investments therefore no securities license or real estate license is required. EQ agents are independently working for themselves yet they also have the benefit of Equidigm’s full team there to support them.
How much is this going to cost
me? What fees should I expect?
A. As with every legitimate opportunity, there definitely are costs to get involved in this industry too. Please review the following basic breakdown of what to expect:
• Total estimated cost should be between $2,000 to $2,500 per new
fully licensed agent.
• 3 1/2-day Boot Camp basic training. Tuition is $1,000/person, minimum $500 non-refundable deposit due at registration and balance $500 is due before completing the EQ Boot Camp basic training. This $1,000 tuition includes:
- training on EQ software and calculators
- Training supplies, location, snacks, and administration fees
- Equidigm Advisor Marketing Certification
- Special EQ Training DVD (containing several recorded training
sessions)
• The estimated balance of $1,000 to $1,500 is paid on your own as you complete each step including:
- Life Insurance class Fee (52 hour course in CA) est. $185.00
- State Insurance license exam and finger prints – est. $200.00
- Annuities Certification (8 hour online course) – est. $35.00
- 1st year of required E&O insurance – est. minimum $635.00
**Note: State Insurance classes are mandatory in some States and exams can be taken either before or after EQ’s Boot Camp training. After you pay the initial $1,000
to EQ, you will pay any additional amount directly to the various entities
providing the tests and license training services. If you have need of a financing plan please contact EQ to check for available options.
What can I expect to get out of the Boot
Camp?
Our boot camp is designed to enroll each agent in the Equidigm philosophy and mindset that is crucial to their and our success. If each agent stays true to the mission they will make much more money and have a bigger impact for good than they could otherwise. We help each agent understand the importance for the clients to have proper protection and preparation for a financially fit future. We open the doorway into the industry of Home Loans, Insurance, Annuities and other Financial Services. We initially focus on three main products to get agents started on their way to being an expert in these areas; Home loans, Life Insurance, and Annuities. Agents will meet expert representatives and learn from companies such as World Savings Bank, Fidelity and Guarantee, Life Settlements Group, and others. Agents will engage in roll-playing to practice presenting products, learn how to use our software and spreadsheets, absorb important facts and myths about the financial industry, etc… Once the basic training has been completed, that is when agents really start learning the business by doing. There will always be continuing learning. Each agent will be shown how to absorb and implement a wider scope of products and services that will expand their abilities to help people increase their wealth. Each agent will select their own zip codes that they want to work within and we target the leads in those areas.
How do I get my Life Insurance
License? (disregard this question if you already have a Life
License)
Once an agent successfully graduates from EQ’s Boot Camp training, they will immediately enroll in the Licensing class in your State of residence. FYI, we use Mike Russ Training School in Southern California (CA requires 52 hours of class time), or Dearborn for the rest of the country. To make it easy for each agent, we schedule them to attend the class. In California, as an example of how the process works; when using the Mike Russ School agents will pay them directly when they show up for class; they will give each agent the text book and go through all the things needed to pass the test. Then a quick half day crash study course on the last day, and there is a study hall where you can choose to take a practice test. We also recommend that the agents register online as soon as the class begins to reserve a State test date and seat for the final day of your class (the testing rooms do fill up quickly). We suggest you take the test while the information is still fresh in your mind. If you plan on working in multiple States, you will be given an opportunity to apply online for non-resident licenses once you receive your license in your own State and get appointed. It is generally a one page application and can range from $35 to $150 per State.
The licensing test may vary from State to State and change without notice.
Again, using California as an example, the actual test is 150 questions and you have three hours to take it. You must get 70% (105 questions) correct to pass. No scores are given. It is strictly a pass/fail test. They don’t even give out the exam score, unless the agent fails it. Agents can re-take the test over again as many times as may be needed (about $41 -your cost- for each retake). Once the exam has been passed the State Life Insurance exam, it will take a couple weeks to process before you actually receive your license.
Other
considerations
We suggest that agents study this financial industry and the products for at least 1 hour per day to continually develop their expertise to be the most effective in educating people and finding the best products for their needs. We strongly recommend reading and studying the books
'A New ERA of Financial Comfort' and ‘Missed Fortune 101’ at your earliest convenience.
It is also each agent’s responsibility to keep the Insurance License from lapsing and to complete the State required continuing education credits that are needed to keep up in the industry. Equidigm will also be arranging various events and activities to help our
Advisors meet those requirements and help make this continuing education (CE) more enjoyable.
Integrity comes first in our organization. Our customers are the most important part of what we do. We only seek agents who are like-minded with our passion to make America wealthy – One Home at a Time! We may not attract every kind of person to join us as an agent, we hope that you are one of us.
Q. After I have attended the Boot Camp and obtained my License, then what do I do?
A. Once your license is received you will need to become a Loan Originator to assist with the loan process. You are also required to be ‘Appointed’ by an insurance company prior to conducting any type of insurance business. Unless you filled out all the forms at the EQ Boot Camp, as soon as you notify EQ that you have received your license, we will send you all the necessary documents and applications by email. You will be required to fax us a photocopy of your State License, your driver’s license, your social security card, a W9 tax form, and your application for appointment. You will also submit the application(s) to be a loan originator. The appointment process may take fourteen (14) business days or more. Then you will be notified of approval and receive your assigned agent number. This number also allows you to access forms and information online with the insurance company.
How do I attain the ‘Active’
Advisor Status?
Once you receive your appointment confirmation and agent number, you are considered an ‘Active’ Equidigm
Advisor fully compliant to conduct business for EQ. As an Active Advisor you will start to practice live presentations on friends and family to get familiar with presenting a live presentation (the focus is not to sell them, but to practice the presentation). Although you can set these appointments yourself if you prefer, you are welcome to exercise the option to send us a list of your acquaintances and we will contact them on your behalf in order to prepare an appointment for you. As you perform your presentation on those people you trust, they will have an opportunity to evaluate you.
When EQ determines that you are ready, you will be provided up to five (5) leads to start work on. EQ will then provide an appointment setting script for you. You must close at least one of these leads or one that you self-generate in order to be eligible for further leads at no cost. Otherwise, leads may be purchased or self generated.
How do I get trained enough to go out on my
own?
If a Trainer is available in your area you will be assigned to one upon completion of the boot camp. The Trainer will make sure you complete the steps mentioned above and help you become an Active
Advisor and start you on your on-the-job training. You will be paid 25% of the commission just for watching your trainer on any closed contracts that come from the leads we gave you. Some Agents choose to save their leads until they are on their own and use self generated leads for the on-the-job training period. We suggest you use the leads we give you as soon as possible to generate income for yourself more quickly. However, if the lead is self generated, you will receive 50% of the commission even though your Trainer is writing the business for you. After the first or second time, YOU will make the presentation to the leads under your Trainer’s supervision until the Trainer determines that you are ready to work completely on your own.
If there is not a trainer in your area yet (as may be the case during our building phase) and you are one of the first, then we still expect you to work with us to fully understand the products and compliance issues and follow the scripts we provide for you and just get out there, close some contracts, make some people wealthy, and learn by doing. EQ will be there to help you determine the best product for each home. Once you successfully close three (3) full contracts, you will have the experience needed so that if you are interested you can then be considered for a Trainer position to help us train other
Advisors as they join in your area, and get paid extra bonuses for doing so.
How do I get more than 5
leads? How do I upgrade my status to become a ‘Producing’ Advisor?
Once you are an Active Advisor working on your own, you are eligible to receive additional blocks of 5 leads at a time at no cost to you, and as long as you continue to sell/close one of those 5 leads (either from the first leads given or a self generated lead), you will continue to receive blocks of 5 leads at a time for as long as you continue to close one contract from each block of 5 leads. We also always recommend that you continue to self generate leads. You can earn an additional 10% bonus on your commissions for any self generated leads (i.e. $5,000 commission gets you a $500 bonus.)
Once you reach and maintain our minimum monthly sales quota of one (1) closed contract per week (4 per month), your status will be upgraded to a ‘Producing’ Equidigm
Advisor. Although some agents may prefer to continue making the appointments themselves, a Producing
Advisor is eligible for additional ongoing leads at no cost, and the optional bonus privilege of receiving Pre-Set appointments for those leads. Also, it is important to note that only Producing Agents are considered for promotion into the management positions in the company.
I am a builder, what kind of continual growth opportunity is there with Equidigm?
The sky is the limit with the growth potential in Equidigm. As the corporation continues to grow we will need Trainers/Supervisors, General Managers, Regional Managers, and National Managers to support that growth. Each position includes additional responsibilities, bonuses, stock options, and promotions that can be attained based on production and performance.
How
soon can/will I get paid?
Earning money does not happen overnight. Time frame varies depending on each
Advisors’ determination to ‘show up’ and follow through. We have really developed a system that makes it simple to earn money and we will continue to streamline the process and provide tools to make this career more enjoyable and more lucrative, but we can not show up for you. This is a real business and real work must be done before you can be compensated with real money. We referred to closing ‘contracts’ several times in the information above. A contract consists of the combination of a mortgage/refinance and an Equity Indexed Universal Life (EIUL) Policy, other life policy, or an Annuity. In California right now, as an example, the average commission per contract is about $5,000.(1) This amount may vary from location to location. If you closed one per week at this rate, you would bring in $20,000 per month.(1) We also have other products like Living Trusts that bring in much smaller commissions, but that adds up with time.
(1) Results may vary from Agent to Agent and location to location.
Each homeowner will take a different amount of time to close, but generally speaking you should plan on 2 to 3 visits per home and each visit will range between 15 minutes and 2 hours. Once the homeowner has filled out all the applications, the credit report has been run and comps (comparative analysis) of the home values in that area have been evaluated to determine the estimated home value, the homeowner is initially approved. It then normally takes at least 30 days for the loan and policy to come through. This time frame allows for the appraisal, a free medical examination, the underwriting and processing of disclosure documents that all have to be completed; then, the final documents are signed, notarized and the
Advisor gets paid within a week after final closing.
So the fastest way to get paid is to start the process right now. Get the proper training as soon as possible, get compliant and start to fill the pipeline with contracts; once your initial contract has gone through, your longest wait is over and you could start getting paid every week.
